Another informative Rotary ROUNDUP Page published in the Coeur d'Alene Press!

So, in June we wrapped up Doug's year as president. We also took the time to recognize some special Rotarians — and there's nothing like being surprised!

👏 Rebecca Eyman was recognized as our Rotarian of the Year!
👏 Jenn Wood received the Service Above Self Award,
👏…and Janet and Les Atchley received the very special Don Allen Award — something that is not an annual award, yet given intermittently to honor exceptional and endearing service!

It didn't end there...
👍🏻 We also surprised Steve Childers as our Rotarian of the Month,
👉…and recognized Steve Buckner and Caiti Bobbitt as new members of our club.

Club has been a whirlwind of activity the last couple weeks. To recap…

👏 Members recognized an amazing year under the leadership of outgoing Club President, Doug Rupiper. And as tradition would have it, almost twenty past presidents lined up in succession, passing the gavel into the waiting hands of 2024-25 president, Ashley Lenz. Cheers to a good year, Doug, and the best to you, Ashley!

⭐️ And a highpoint each year is for our outgoing president to recognize a few very special members for their amazing contributions. Doug acknowledged:

👉 Rebecca Eyman as our "Rotarian of the Year"

👉 Jenn Wood, who received the "Service Above Self" award

👉 Les and Janet Atchley were honored with the "Don Allen Award" for their years of dedication and commitment to Rotary,...in CDA and elsewhere!

👉 Retiring board members’ Candace Godwin, Britt Towery and Dan Crawford.

✔️ Ashley announced the new Rotary International 2024-25 yearly theme, “The Magic of Rotary” – recognize and amplify the power to save lives. She also asked committee chairs to pitch their programs, encouraging members to sign-up for their fav initiative!

👉 Linda Coppess recognized new members’ Steve Buckner and Caiti Bobbitt.

Love the passing of the gavel tradition!

Congratulations to all!

A Rotarian by day and woodworking craftsman by night. That's Dan Crawford!

While Doug Rupiper counts down the days, ending his Rotary year as club president, Dan surprised Doug yesterday afternoon with this beautiful work of art, thanking him for his term leading the Coeur d'Alene Rotary Club Board.
