DEANNA GOODLANDER introduced Jon Thoma- retired consultant from Midland,Tx. who now resides in CDA.  DICK PHENNEGER introduced his son Todd a grad of U. of I. , now residing in Spokane as a mortgage loan officer. CONNIE DRAGER introduced her brother Greg Faith, an engineer with the Boeing Co. in the Seattle area.
 
Pres. RON announced that former Rotarian CLYDE 'DENNY' DENNISTON  passed away. DENNY joined our club in 1987. He served our country, having a 34 year career in the military. DENNY  retired from the Army as a Brigadier General.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
 
Don't forget to mark on your calendars August 21st. Our District Governor Mike Dalessi will be speaking at our meeting.
 
Past Pres. SANDY PATANO  introduced our speaker- Gynii Gilliam, President of Jobs Plus. Gynii is a graduate of the Univ. of Michigan and U.C.L.A. She brings 25 years of experience with her having served as Chief Economic Development Officer for the State of Idaho as well as running her own consulting firm. Jobs Plus was created in 1987 as a nonprofit economic development corporation with the mission "to expand and diversify the economic and employment base in Kootenai County". Since 1987, over 90 companies have relocated or expanded in the CDA area creating 5855 jobs and adding $65 million dollars to the county property tax base. Currently Gynii and her staff are working on approx 31 projects, 12 considered a high probability, with hopes of adding another 230 new jobs in the area by the end of the year. She gave us an excellent slide presentation with a focus on 4 areas of growth- advanced manufacturing, aerospace/aviation, healthcare and technology.
